Former Alabama CB Terrion Arnold gets a new number as Lions start rookie minicamp
Junfu Han / USA TODAY NETWORK

The Detroit Lions are geared up for rookie minicamp.

Brad Holmes (general manager) and Dan Campbell (head coach) continue to stockpile the roster with University of Alabama alums.

Both saw success with Jahmyr Gibbs, Brian Branch, and Jameson Williams, but they added another Crimson Tide standout in this recent draft class.

Terrion Arnold, a native of Tallahassee, Fla., was selected at No. 24 overall by the Lions.

TerrionHe came to Alabama as a five-star athlete from high school in the 2021 signing class, but Arnold blossomed into a playmaker at cornerback.

He produced his best season in 2023, leading the team for pass breakups (12) and interceptions (five). His energy, enthusiasm, and excellence on the field allowed Alabama to win a Southeastern Conference Championship and return to the College Football Playoff. Arnold performed well at the NFL Scouting Combine and Alabama’s Pro Day, which made the drafting process easy for Detroit to select him. He will wear No. 0 in minicamp for the Lions and is ready to get to work for his new team.

Alabama fans are more than excited to watch Arnold’s success in the National Football League.
